LAS VEGAS -- So people are likely still working away, putting the finishing touches on their presentations...or -- perish the thought -- decided to scrap it and start over anew (bless you brave, campers.) But somewhere, every time Shane wins a hand, an angel gets its wings.

Here's our last report of the night...stay tuned here for the winning team as soon as we get word from the team on the ground.

ON THE GROUND
(w/ Jennifer Van Pelt)

IMG00072.jpgIMG00073.jpg

BEFORE!                                          AFTER!

What's behind the curtain? Some teams hid their product and gift behind the curtains as the counselors visited during the red bull run. After visiting all teams the counselors are eager for the unveiling tomorrow. How much sleep will some of the teams get tonight to pull everything together?

Tomorrow Camp will resume back in the Lounge where the teams will take the stage and pitch. --JVP

MIDDAY UPDATE FROM GLUTTONY

10:25: Counselor sent text that we need to have our gift by noon.
noon: We walked our counselor thru our "gift" and feel so much better.
12:35: team break to talk to family, change clothes and smoke
12:47: team back in room brainstorming again

On the sleep thing....at every point yesterday afternoon I was thinking positive and thinking "oh, we're almost finished, I'll be in bed by midnight. " Then midnight turns to 12:30 and you think I'll be in bed by 1. Then 1 comes and you're hoping that if you can at least get 5 hours, you'll be okay. I got almost five :) --Sarah Jo Sautter (camper)

ROUNDUP

Teams are feeling great with their spirits high! They hit the strip this morning to interview more individuals that fit their persona. By now most teams are back in their rooms working on the gift they have found or trying to get to that point. With their spirits high, where will the teams be at Red Bull run? We shall see. --Jennifer Van Pelt (staffer)

These Counselor shirts technically debut tomorrow, so...you're getting a scoop as a reward for being a loyal AHO reader. -- ed.

LAS VEGAS -- Day one of Camp Organic just completed. Adding the MOTH to the mix of Camp O was grrrreat! They in helped Organics learn how to use the art of storytelling here at Camp and gave Campers skills to take back to the office. As Shane or Conor mentioned, we don't make websites anymore we tell stories at Organic.

The Campers have been set loose for the night. Will they take Shane's advice and go to sleep? Time will only tell. -- Jennifer Van Pelt

In the past, Camp has started on Wednesdays and burned solid through Friday. This time around, Campers have a little business to do at a joint Tuesday dinner. But they don't get a full taste of what they're doing quite yet.

We've got Twitter Tweets from counselors, thoughts from Campers and general awesome coverage from staffer Jennifer Van Pelt to soothe you at home worried about your precious loved ones off in the wilds of Vegas...so stay tuned. Here's some pre-coverage of Tuesday for you... --Ed.

New digs at this Camp...we'll be starting in a little place called The Lounge to try and loosen things up (the meeting rooms can be a bit stifling, right?)

32 campers 7 counselors and 1 Marita is the combination for an exceptional Camp Organic! Tonight Orangic will host, Camp Organic for the 15th time. With campers awaiting the start they roam the casino floor popping their heads into the lounge trying to get a peak at what is in store for the next three and a half days.

We'll be getting some various reports from Vegas via staff and participants in Camp Organic 15. We begin with a preview of what she's expecting from Detroit's own Sarah Jo Sautter, master of the private social network and all-around rock star. -- Ed.

People are telling me you don't sleep. That got me thinking maybe should I stockpile some for reserves. I tried to go to bed earlier last night, but got sucked in by the Oscars. And tonight there is no reprieve either. We have a live chat inside the Customer Advisory Board with Stephen Bartoli, Chrysler's VP of Regulatory Affairs and Product Strategy. I won't be out of here until 11 or later. Then, I'll go home and lament about what to pack in the morning. Throw in an early morning natural alarm clock (read: toddler) and I'll be lucky to get 5 or 6 hours in the bank. Maybe this will be like that first week home with the newborn all over again.

Renovations! Boxes! Packing plans! And...$10 Starbucks cards to boot for Organics who just need to get out for some fresh air amid the commotion while people have to kind of shift spaces for a few months while the Midtown offices get their refurbishnessosity going.

Full coverage coming from Nicole Goldman, an All Hands favorite from Camp O's gone by. And if you have any questions...just ask her.

The media department bought this bike at the charity:water Twestival hosted at Organic's Detroit office last night. Our office raised $4600! That's one well plus an extra $600!

The creative folks took a brainbreak and stretched their legs this afternoon with the new office toy.

The Detroit Organic office is in the middle of their own social networking experiment: how quick and how much money can be raised to benefit the 1.1 billion people worldwide who don't have access to safe, clean drinking water?

The effort started only 12 short days ago, when Organic's Group Director, Global Business, Lori Laurent Smith was approached by an organizer of the International
Twitter festival (Twestival) asking if she could organize the event for Detroit. Twestival is being hosted on February 12 in 170+ cities across the globe with the goal of bringing together Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for www.charitywater.org.

A small group of volunteers at Organic, including Traci Armstrong, Maureen Tedford, and Debbie Klaft, quickly assembled and devised a plan to harness the power of their personal networks to tap into for sponsorships and silent auction donations.
The original goal was to raise $4000 - or the cost for at least one well - on behalf of charity:water. However, the volunteer team estimates we'll quickly surpass that goal, given the generosity of local vendors who have donated everything from the complete Xbox Entertainment Package, to Red Wings / Tigers / Pistons tickets, to a tandem bicycle built for two!  To see all items donated, go to: http://detroit.twestival.com/

Thanks to the lightning speed, viral nature of Twitter, Facebook and Linked in, silent auction items continue to roll in. Guests can still register to attend at: www.amiando.com/twestivaldetroit  Bad news and the failing economy may be the headlines in the news, but here at Organic-Detroit - the generosity of the ad community continues to prove the true resilience of our community.

In the next few months, we'll have some sweet ways of showing you exactly how much "green" biz is going on around Organic. But in the meantime, check out this graph showing what we've got goin' on for Good Ol' Mother Earth.

So that's why we ate buffet style at Camp O...aha!
